Getting started
What is your teaching philosophy?
We use a student-led, trust-based approach that builds confidence without pressure. Lessons meet swimmers where they are, from first splash to stroke development.
What age can my child start?
Lessons begin at 6 weeks through Parent & Me classes or private one-on-one sessions, depending on each swimmer's needs.
Do you teach adults and swimmers with special needs?
Yes. We welcome all ages and abilities, and tailor lessons to each swimmer's pace, comfort, goals, and learning style.
How do I book a class?
Use our Customer Portal to view live availability and submit an enrollment request. If you need help finding a fit, contact our team.
Enrollment & billing
Do you offer trial or drop-in lessons?
Trial lessons can be requested through the Customer Portal. Drop-ins may be available when space allows; please contact us directly because they cannot be booked in the portal.
What is your billing schedule?
Phoenix Swim Academy is year-round with ongoing monthly enrollment. Tuition is charged on the 25th for the upcoming month, and mid-month starts may be prorated.
How do I unenroll or request a makeup?
Submit a drop request through the Customer Portal between the 4th and 24th. We offer one excused makeup per month with at least 4 hours notice, based on availability.
Do you offer group lessons?
Instruction is private, semi-private for ages 10 and up, or Parent & Me for ages 6 weeks to 36 months. We do not offer traditional group lessons.
In the water
What if my child cries?
It is normal for some swimmers to cry at first. Our instructors adjust gently to build trust, and we partner with families to keep the experience safe and positive.
Do you use forced submersion or floaties?
Absolutely not. We never use forced submersion, dunking, or throwing. We also do not recommend floaties or water wings because they can create a false sense of security.
What is the swim diaper policy?
Swimmers under 4, and anyone not fully potty trained, must wear a disposable swim diaper plus a snug reusable swim diaper over it. This protects every swimmer and our facility.
Where can I find live booking?
